Reports we arrange
Multi-track and complex injury medical reports
Higher-value and complex injury claims usually need medical evidence from more than one specialty, with each report building on the others. We arrange the medical experts, agree each choice with you before we instruct, and keep every report moving to a common timetable.
What the report is for
In a complex claim, the medical reports together describe the full picture: each injury, how the injuries affect one another, the claimant’s overall condition and outlook, and their future needs for treatment and support. That medical evidence is often the base on which the rest of the claim is valued.
Claims like these may also need non-medical evidence, such as care, employment or accommodation experts. Probita arranges medical experts only; those other experts are instructed separately.
Who usually writes it
It depends on the injuries. A serious accident might need an orthopaedic surgeon, a neurologist, a plastic surgeon for scarring and a psychiatrist or psychologist, with each reporting on their own area.
We are building our panel across specialties. Tell us what the claim needs and we will tell you who we can instruct before anything is agreed.

What to send us
- a letter of instruction for each expert, with their own questions
- all the medical records you hold, including hospital, rehabilitation and GP records
- the court timetable, or the dates you are working to
- any reports already obtained, so later experts can see them if you want them to
- the claimant’s contact details, and anything that affects travel or appointments
How we handle it
For each expert we agree the choice with you, then instruct them to a common timetable. The portal shows each report’s status and next step, and reminders go out before report, Part 35 and court deadlines. The claimant books each appointment through a secure link.
Large bundles are sorted, paginated and indexed once, with a chronology and summary prepared for each expert: AI-prepared, expert-reviewed. Each expert reads the records relevant to them and forms their own opinion. Every report is checked against the claim type’s checklist before release, with a person reviewing anything flagged, and released through the portal.
Our secure portal is launching soon. Until then, instruct us by email and we’ll keep you updated on each case.
AI prepares the records for the expert: sorted, paginated and indexed, with a chronology and summary. It never forms or changes a medical opinion, and Probita gives none. The expert checks the summary against the records and the opinion is theirs alone, under their duty to the court.
We switch on each AI feature only once it has passed its own testing, and our team does the same work by hand until then.
How instructing works, what the portal shows you and how billing works: Probita for law firms.
Questions
Questions about multi-track and complex injury reports
Do you arrange care or employment experts?
No. We arrange medical experts only. Non-medical experts are instructed separately.
Can we choose the order in which the experts report?
Yes. Tell us the order you want, for example where one expert should see another’s report first, and we will set the timetable around it.
What happens if the experts need to discuss the case?
Where the court directs a discussion between experts, we can arrange the joint statement that follows. See further evidence.
